How to download TikTok videos on Android

On Android, a TikTok video saved with your browser goes straight into the Download folder, where Gallery and Google Photos pick it up. No app to install.

Updated 27 October 2026

Open the video, tap the Share arrow and tap Copy link.

Step 2: Paste it into TikTok to MP4

Open Chrome (or Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge), go to tiktoktomp4.app, tap the box and paste the link. Tap Download.

Step 3: Pick a quality

The files are listed sharpest first. Most phones from the last few years play the HEVC versions. If you plan to send the video to an older phone or edit it in an older app, take the one marked Plays everywhere. Tap it and the download starts. Chrome shows a bar at the bottom when it is done; tap Open to watch the video.

Where to find the video

  • Gallery (Samsung and most phones): open Albums › Download.
  • Google Photos: open Collections (or Library) and look under On this device › Download.
  • Files by Google / My Files: open Downloads.

Photo slideshows and MP3

  • Tap a picture to save it, or Download all photos for a ZIP file. Files by Google and My Files open ZIP files: tap it and choose Extract.
  • Tap MP3 audio for the sound. The MP3 is made on your phone and saved in Download like any other file. Music players such as YouTube Music or Samsung Music find it there.

If something doesn’t work

  • The page opens inside TikTok. Tap the three dots in the corner and choose Open in browser, then try again.
  • Chrome asks for storage permission. Allow it; Chrome needs it to save files on some older Android versions.
  • The video has sound but no picture. Your phone can’t play HEVC. Download the Plays everywhere version instead.
